MIRI is the mid-infrared instrument for the James Webb Space Telescope and provides imaging, coronagraphy and integral field spectroscopy over the 5-28 micron wavelength range. MIRI is one of four instruments being built for the Webb telescope. It is being developed as a partnership between Europe and the USA - the main partners are ESA, a consortium of nationally funded European institutes, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) and NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC).

PLATO (PLAnetary Transits and Oscillations of stars) was selected as the M3 mission of the Cosmic Vision program. Lauch is expected in 2024. Its objective is the characterization of stellar systems and their exoplanets.

The IAS stellar group as well as the exoplanet group  is strongly involved in the ground segment, as well as camera testing and scientific exploitation.

SDO: The Solar Dynamics Observatory is the first mission to be launched for NASA's Living With a Star (LWS) Program, a program designed to understand the causes of solar variability and its impacts on Earth. SDO is designed to help us in understanding the Sun's influence on Earth and near-earth space by studying the solar atmosphere on small scales of space and time and in many wavelengths simultaneously.
