IAS participates to the CNRS outreach event “Face à l'Univers”
On the occasion of its 80th anniversary, CNRS organizes on 14 and 15 September in Gif-sur-Yvette an outreach event called "Face à l'Univers" (In Front of the Universe). IAS participates to the organization of this event, and will present there many space instruments.
The event will take place at the Button castle, on the CNRS campus in Gif-sur-Yvette, from 15:00 to 18:00 each day. The complete programme is available on the CNRS Île-deFrance-Sud website.
IAS will in particular present:
• Three documentaries on space missions common to the IAS, LESIA, and LATMOS laboratories: Mars Express, Rosetta, and Bepi-Colombo.
• An exhibition of instruments from Solar Orbiter, SoHo, ExoMars2020/MicrOmega, Planck, Euclid, 3SUV, Omega...
• A workshop for kids : build your own pocket spectrometer.
• Conferences by Y. Langevin, H. Dole, N. Malavasi, and M. Condamin.
• Virtual reality: the Churyamov-Gerasimenko comet, black holes, solar storms.
