Evolution of cosmic filaments

logo2
I have recently used one of the most advanced cosmological hydro-dynamical numerical simulations, MilleniumTNG, to unveil how cosmic filaments evolve with time. We found exciting new results! Will these structures help us to constrain cosmological models in the future? This is what I want to explore next!

Galaxy evolution in a cosmological context

logo2
I want to understand how the evolution of galaxies is affected by the large-scale environment. Especially, how is the star-formation related to the connection of galaxies to cold gas filaments? How does this vary as a function of location in the cosmic web? This is what we have aimed at answering in one of my latest papers!

Missing baryons & cosmic filaments

logo2I am part of the ByoPiC team, an ERC funded project that aims to resolve a fundamental question in Astrophysics : where are the baryons hidden in the Universe today? In what form are those missing baryons?
In this project, I study and characterize the properties of the filamentary structures of the Cosmic Web, as detected in numerical simulations.

A bit of Particle Physics

logo2I also have a small background on High Energy physics.
During my master thesis I studied rare decays of B mesons, CP violation and hints of New Physics in the context of the Standard Model of Particle Physics. This project led to my first publication ever! :D
