Instrumentation

We participate to the development of submillimeter and millimeter wave instrumentation. We design, set up and operate complete cryogenic chains, together with the engineering teams of the laboratory, in order to cool detectors down to below 100 mK (Planck/HFI space mission, PILOT balloon, dilution refrigerators for laboratory and underground experiments). We contribute to the R&D phases preparing future missions, by the design, manufacturing, and tests of superconducting detectors like bolometers or KIDs (Kinetic Inductance Detector), and by the characterization of detectors for space, in particular their interactions with cosmic particles. Morever, we have carried out the development of massive bolometers for Dark Matter detection and metrology at very low temperatures.
