The objective:
At the COROT-Week-1 held in Vienna( Sept 2001), it was decided to plan for the choice of the Principal target fields by the beginning of 2001. The Principal target fields will be observed during 150 days. This third HH has been organized in the perspective of this important choice.
At the CS-6 meeting (April 2001, Paris), we obtained a list of candidate
Principal
targets that will define the Principal target fields. Within
this list of 9 candidates (6 on the anticenter direction at 6h50, 3 in
the center directiom at 18h50), 6 targets will have to be selected for
the observational program (3 on each side or direction). In the center
direction, the choice is limited because HD174866 might not be a delta
Scuti; this star was found to be stable at the mmag level. In the
anticenter direction, priorities will need to be assigned to each target.
The main objective of the HH is to prioritize these 6 targets in terms
of what we can achieve seismologically with these stars. Three stars
has been chosen for this third HH.
The third HH exercise:
Three tests will be performed in parallel on the three different stars. For each test, the following table indicate
The tasks corresponding to the different steps of the test The deadline ffor the task The actionee for the task
Please note sampling time is 32 sec for the all synthetic time series!
