Organization of the sixth HH
The objective:
The objective of this exercise is to set a common recipe for getting the mode frequencies of the so-called classical pulsators. There are various techniques used by 'regular' astronomers and 'old-fashioned' helioseismologists that need to be confronted with each other.
The stars
The stars to be tested are a d Scuti (HD181555) and a b Cepheid (HD180642). Sampling is 32 s. Observation duration is 150 days (405000 points).

The teams
There shall be two teams preparing the time series:
- Team A: Headed by Rafa Garrido will generate a time series for HD181555
- Team B: Headed by Joris De Ridder will generate a time series for HD180642
There shall be at least two teams analyzing the time series:
- Team A: Headed by Rafa Garrido will play with the time seris of HD180642
- Team B: Headed by Joris de Ridder will play with the time series of HD181555
- Other teams: helioseismologists such as those of IAS, CEA Saclay, Meudon, Thierry Toutain will play with either data set.
The planning
The time series should be ready not later than End September 2005. The data can be found here.
