L\u2019exp\u00e9rience MICMOC\/SUGARS en est une variante. Cette approche fortement interdisciplinaire, rassemblant des scientifiques issus des domaines de l\u2019astrophysique, de la physique et de la chimie au sein de l\u2019ANR Chirgen, propose en effet une d\u00e9marche exp\u00e9rimentale li\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019astrophysique avec la simulation de glaces interstellaires, \u00e0 la physique mol\u00e9culaire, et \u00e0 la chimie analytique pour la d\u00e9tection de mol\u00e9cules d\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat pr\u00e9biotique.<\/p><p>La pr\u00e9sence de nombreux acides amin\u00e9s dans le r\u00e9sidu organique issu de la photochimie de ces glaces a \u00e9t\u00e9 constat\u00e9e \u00e0 plusieurs reprises gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 cette collaboration. Derni\u00e8rement, le protocole analytique appliqu\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019ICN (Institut de Chimie de Nice) a \u00e9t\u00e9 modifi\u00e9 afin de permettre la d\u00e9tection d\u2019une nouvelle famille de mol\u00e9cules : les ald\u00e9hydes et parmi eux d\u2019\u00e9ventuels sucres. Dix ald\u00e9hydes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 identifi\u00e9s, et en particulier deux sucres potentiellement importants pour la chimie pr\u00e9biotique, le glycolald\u00e9hyde et le glyc\u00e9rald\u00e9hyde. Selon une exp\u00e9rience r\u00e9cente de chimie pr\u00e9biotique, ce sont des pr\u00e9curseurs possibles de ribonucl\u00e9otides, eux-m\u00eames briques de base de l\u2019ARN, comme les acides amin\u00e9s le sont pour les prot\u00e9ines. La d\u00e9tection de ces mol\u00e9cules dans nos \u00e9chantillons permet donc de renforcer l\u2019hypoth\u00e8se selon laquelle la mati\u00e8re organique extraterrestre aurait permis d\u2019ensemencer la Terre primitive en mol\u00e9cules essentielles pour le fonctionnement de la chimie pr\u00e9biotique menant \u00e0 l\u2019origine de la vie.<\/p><p>Enfin, si le glycolald\u00e9hyde est d\u00e9j\u00e0 d\u00e9tect\u00e9 dans le milieu interstellaire, ce n\u2019est pas encore le cas du glyc\u00e9rald\u00e9hyde, qui constitue donc une cible int\u00e9ressante pour les instruments de radioastronomie tels qu\u2019ALMA.
