GONG 2010 - SoHO 24
A new era of seismology of the Sun and solar-like stars |
|
June 27 - July 2, 2010
Aix-en-Provence, France |
 |
Scope of the meeting |
The program will focus on the asteroseismic and helioseismic results of the current SOHO and CoRoT missions in light of the new results provided by the Kepler and SDO mission of NASA, and by the PICARD mission of CNES, launched or to be launched in 2009. These new missions are making the start of a new era in astero- and helio-seismology. The emphasis will be on results obtained for the Sun and its solar-like counterparts, and what can be learnt for future missions of the Cosmic Vision programme such as Solar Orbiter or PLATO. |
