1. Venue

    The school and workshop will take place at the observatoire océanologique de Banuyls/Mer.
    Banyuls sur Mer is a small town of the Oriental Pyrenees department with Catalan influences, located near Spain, along the Mediterranean coast.

  2. Transportation

    Practical information on how to reach the observatory can be found on this page.
    We can organize for a common transportation from Perpignan for Sunday evening if requested.

    How to get there:

    By car:
    on the A9 Highway, take the exit for Perpignan Sud and follow signs to Elne, Argelès-sur-Mer, Collioure.
    Banyuls is after Port-Vendres.

    By train:
    Banyuls is on the Cerbère - Narbonne line.
    The SNCF train station is 700 meters from the seaside, direct trains daily from Paris, from Gare d'Austerlitz and Gare de Lyon.
    Many connections to major French and European cities.

    Perpignan Rivesaltes international airport is 40 minutes from Banyuls. Tel: +33(0)4 68 52 60 70
    Many daily flights to Paris Orly sud and many connections with European cities.
    Bus service from airport to train station.
    Car rental agencies and taxis nearby.

    Geronne international airport is 100 km from Banyuls, accessed by bus / taxi / rental car.

    By bus:
     Banyuls Perpignan : Buses run from Monday to Saturday all year round, including July and August.  No service on Sundays or bank holidays.

    Banyuls Cerbère: Buses run from Monday to Saturday all year round.  No service on Sundays.

  3. Lodging

    Lodging is included in the registration fee. People will be distributed between observatory rooms and hotels in the town.
