Physique et évolution des disques autour des jeunes étoiles

Physics and evolution of disks around young star

Antonella Natta (Arcetri, Firenze, Italie)

Circumstellar disks are detected around young stars of all masses, from
intermediate mass stars of ~5-10 solar masses to brown dwarfs and
planetary-mass objects. They are the site of planet formation.
In this talk, I will review what we know about the properties of the dust
contained in  disks and the evidence for strong grain growth and
evolution with respect to the grain properties in the parent molecular
clouds.
