"Recent Results from IRAM and Future Plans"

I will present recent developments that have been achieved at  IRAM, in particular at the Plateau de Bure interferometer,
and report  on recent scientific results that have been made possible by the enhanced capabilities in angular resolution,
frequency coverage and  sensivity. Future plans for enhancements will then presented in the  second part of this talk.
