| SWAP is a small EUV imager to be launched on PROBA2, a technology demonstration platform, end 2007. SWAP is a technology demonstration in itself with the first APS detector for solar physics in orbit, onboard image processing and a lightweight off-axis optical design. SWAP is designed as a space weather monitor with a bandpass centred at 17.4nm, a FOV of 54 arcmin and an image cadence of 1 min. This image cadence is an order of magnitude improvement over EIT and is essential for monitoring CME associated phenomena such as EIT waves, flares and filament lift-offs. We will discuss the possible contributions of SWAP to SECCHI investigations and joint campaigns.
