Abstract
We analyse the post flare loop dynamics of an M2.5 flare that occurred at the limb of the Sun on the 16th of April 2002. The observations have been made with the Solar Ultraviolet Measurements of Emitted Radiation (SUMER) spectrometer onboard of Solar Heliospheric Observatory (SoHO) in Fe XIX 1118.1 Ã… with the formation temperature above 6 MK and with the Transition Region and Coronal Explorer (TRACE) in the 195 Ã… passband. TRACE detected a lifting flux rope which gave rise to a slow coronal mass ejection (CME) associated with a propagating intensity fluctuation.?High blue and red Doppler shifts (up to 600 km/s) were seen by SUMER shortly before and after the rising loop system passed the slit, oscillating in phase with the TRACE intensity, suggesting a propagation of a magnetoacoustic wave.
