Abstract

We present the results of a study of the moat flow around the sunspot AR9787 (the "HELAS sunspot", so-called because it has been the object of in-depth study at a HELAS workshop) using Fourier-Hankel decomposition of the oscillatory wavefield. We carry out inversions both for the sound speed perturbation and for the flow speed as a function of distance from the center of the spot and depth. The results are compared with results from time-distance helioseismology and ring-diagram analysis.
