
Average cross-power spectrum of 200 subseries
of 4 days each. The spectrum is dominated by the p-mode band up to the
cut-off frequency (~5.3 mHz). Above this frequency a mode-like structure
appears, corresponding to the so-called High Interference Peaks [HIPs],
observed for the first time with unimaged observations (low degree modes)
with the GOLF experiment. This has been explained by considering partial wave
reflection from the atmosphere:
